Product Knowledge
Sterling Silver - Pure silver is a very soft metal. It can bend or break easily so by Adding another, more durable, metal to the mix ensures that your silver jewelry will last a lot longer and look a lot nicer down the road. So really, sterling silver is usually the better option when choosing jewelry.
Silver Filled - Means a much thinner layer of sterling silver bonded to a base metal, It is able to with stand small nicks and will never wear off.
Silver Plated - Means a thin layer of silver is coated to a base metal.
Disadvantage: The layer is very thin and thus easy to scratch. Over time, it will naturally wear thin, exposing the base metal below
Gold Filled - Gold-filled components must include gold that is at least 1/20th the weight of the entire piece. Gold Filled also have a Longer lifespan than gold plated jewelry and should last as long as solid 14k gold jewelry with reasonable care. Gold Filled is more expensive than gold plated jewelry
Gold Plated -This layer is much thinner than the coating of gold that covers gold-filled jewelry.. Because of the lower gold content, gold-plated items are generally less expensive than similar gold-filled products.
Disadvantage: The layer is very thin and thus easy to scratch. Over time, it will naturally wear thin, exposing the base metal below
Stainless Steel -Is considerably more durable than silver. Its bright and silvery finish, which is resistant to tarnish. Unlike sterling silver, stainless steel jewelry is strong enough to withstand daily life and household chores. To maintain that beautiful shine, use either a jewelry polish or a special polishing cloth.
Crystal and Natural Stones
With the proper care, your crystals can stay vibrant and beautiful, while providing you with a special connection to the earth’s energy. To keep your crystals and gemstones clean and vibrant, you can use a soft cloth mild soap and water to gently wipe away any accumulated dirt or dust from the surface of the stone.
Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these may damage the stone.
Alternatively, you can clean your crystals and gemstones using the power of the moonlight – simply place your stones outside during the full moon and allow them to be bathed in the light of the night sky.
This is a great way to cleanse and recharge your crystals, as the moonlight is said to have healing properties.
